Elizabeth Mata PrincipalMrs. Mata is completing her first year as ACS principal for the school year 2021-2022. She has been part of the ACS Family since 2012 serving as secretary, School Board President, and an active parent. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Angelo State University and is pursuing a Masters in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Mata and her husband, Deacon Marc, have five children. Ann Marie, Sarah Elizabeth, and John Marc are all graduates of ACS, Matthew James is in 8th grade at ACS, and Catherine Grace is in 2nd grade. They are members of St. Mary’s Church. It is a blessing for Mrs. Mata to share her faith both personally and professionally.

Lea Kelley Dir. of Marketing & RecruitmentMs. Kelley - ACS as Director of Marketing and Recruitment. Bachelor of Arts - Political Science/History; Masters of Business Administration - Human Resources. Ms. Kelley's son Liam is an ACS 4th grader. They are parishioners at Holy Angels Catholic Church. They spend their free time visiting museums around town, geocaching and hiking with their dog Bolt.

Jinhee Baumann 4K Teacher AidMrs. Baumann, also known as Mrs. B, has been at ACS for many years. She has two bachelor degrees in child education and youth counseling. Her two sons Logan (7th) and Luke (6th) are ACS Eagles. They are members of Holy Angels parish.

Carly Brown 1st Grade TeacherMs. Brown, ACS 1st grade teacher, is a recent graduate of Angelo State University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Irais Colin 3K Teacher, SpanishMrs. Colin will begin her 4th year at ACS in the fall of 2022. She is our 3K teacher, as well as middle school Spanish. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is also a certified facilitator for Abriendo Puertas, Community Health Promoter and Member of Vision y Compromiso. Mrs.Colin and her husband have three children, a daughter, Sheccid, who recently graduated from ACS, Didier, a 7th grader and daughter Irais, an ACS 4th grader. They are members of Sacred Heart Cathedral. In her spare time she stays busy as a volunteer with the Crisis Intervention Unit, Little Company of Mary, and is an advocate for families and children.

Janine Hasty Second grade teacherMrs. Hasty has been at ACS for 36 years. She is a member of the Holy Angels parish. Her daughter Jessica is an ACS alumna and her grandson Jaxon will be attending ACS this fall. Her family recently welcomed granddaughter Jillian Rose. Mrs. Hasty's favorite thing about ACS is going to Mass with her students. She loves bringing God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit into all aspects of the school. day.

Martin Hernandez Sixth Grade Homeroom / Middle School ScienceMr. Hernandez has been the ACS science teacher for 14 years. He is a graduate of Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in Biology. Mr. Hernandez is our faculty sponsor for the ACS Robotics Club. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for 31 years and has two children who live in the Houston area. He is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Some of his favorite past time activities include watching sports and playing a round of golf once in awhile.

Brigette Schroeder 7th Grade Homeroom / Middle School MathematicsMrs. Schroeder has been at ACS for 15 years, after previously teaching in the public school system. She taught 3rd grade at ACS for ten years and has been over middle school mathematics for the last five. Mrs. Schroeder and her husband are members of Christoval Baptist Church where she is active in Women's Ministry , VBS, and a team leader on the church finance team. She has two children, Grady, who will forever be 31 and Preslie who is a horse breeder, trainer and professional barrel racer. She and her husband also have two dogs Hoot and Heidi, and two cats Missy and Snowflake. Her past time activities include working in her yard and kayaking on the South Concho River.

Steven Zimmerman 3rd Grade TeacherDeacon Zimmerman grew up in Arizona and attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School from kindergarten through 8th grade. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Bachelor's of Science in Operations Management and worked in retail management for many years prior to teaching. He received his teaching certification through Angelo State University and previously taught at ACS from 1996-2006. He was the Religion Education Coordinator at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart prior to returning to ACS in 2020. Deacon is happy to be back at ACS and sharing his life skills and faith with our third graders.

Rudy Coronado PE/Athletic CoachCoach Coronado began his first year at ACS in the fall of 2023. He is a 2023 graduate of Angelo State University. He is growing our Athletics Program and we are excited about the changes he brings. He is our PE Teacher and Athletics Coach.

Mary Perez 4th Grade TeacherMary Sue Perez attended Katherine A Ryan Catholic School in Snyder, Texas from first through eighth grade. She graduated from Snyder High School and she holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Angelo State University. After working as a teacher’s aide for four years, she began her teaching career at Sonora Independent School District where she taught fourth and fifth grade for 21 years. She is now fulfilling the dream of teaching in a Catholic school with joy to bring Christ into the classroom.
